Poured at the kitchen table
Little Wick started at a kitchen table in a small Victoria apartment, with one pot, a thermometer and a lot of wonky first candles.
We still pour and cut everything by hand, a few dozen at a time: soy wax, cotton wicks, soap cured for six weeks. The scents are ones we'd want in our own rooms — cedar, fig, a little smoke.
Small batches mean a scent sometimes runs out. It comes back when it's ready.
Questions
How long does a candle burn?
About 40 hours. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each lighting.
Are the scents natural?
We use phthalate-free fragrance oils and some essential oils. Each label lists them.
Can I refill my tin?
Yes — bring the clean tin back for $4 off a refill.
